After a nearly 4 year absence, bowling came back to Yates Center with a new feel in a familiar location.  After closing its doors in 2008, several years would pass before bowling would return.  The plan to buy and re-open the bowling center began in January 2012.  Over the next 8 months a plan was formed, and the task of reviving a dead bowling alley began in November 2012.  Numerous improvements were made to the building and equipment before opening May 26, 2013.  Among these were all new ceiling, lighting, pins, electronic scoring, heating & AC units, paint, and LCD TV’s with cable over the approaches, and many other repairs too numerous to list.  Today, Yates Bowling Center prides itself on providing the best entertainment value in Woodson county.  Our goal is to give you big city bowling quality right here in Yates Center.  Its not just a new coat of paint, its a whole new business model that we invite you to come see for yourself!
